Our Facilities

Ames Community Preschool Center's main center in the heart of Ames, Iowa offers year-round daycare and preschool programming for children ages 6 weeks to pre-K. Located near downtown Ames, the main center has everything a child needs to reach their potential. The site includes eight spacious classrooms, an indoor gym, well-appointed library, three distinct playgrounds outfitted with equipment for different age groups, outdoor learning classroom, and a large green space. Kitchens, meeting space, and administrative offices round out the facilities. The center is also home to allergy-friendly pets including fish and snails as well as a vegetable garden grown by students with the help of staff, enriching their experience.

We are also proud to offer high quality on-site after-school care at each of the Ames elementary schools: Edwards, Fellows, Kate Mitchell, Meeker, and Sawyer. Our on-site school-age care allows children to extend their days at their elementary schools while receiving mentorship, educational activities, and outdoor time aiding their growth and development on school property.
